Fark Labs investment, Optiyol, has secured funding from EIT Urban Mobility through the Innomotion Urban Mobility Scale-up program

Fark Labs is proud to announce that Optiyol, a route optimization startup, has received an investment from EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. This investment is received with the assistance of EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Turkiye’s Innomotion Urban Mobility Scale-up program. This is an exclusive grant program for startups supported by EIT Urban Mobility funded accelerator programs across Europe such as the Innomotion Urban Mobility Scale-up program.

Fark Labs invested in Optiyol in 2021 and this additional funding will support Optiyol’s expansion into the European market. “We are proud to continue our relationship with EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Turkiye,” say Optiyol co-founders Tuba Gözbaşı and Ozan Gözbaşı. “It is an honor for us to receive this investment because it shows that we have reached one of our most crucial targets as being a bridge between Turkiye’s and Europe’s urban mobility ecosystem. We hope that this will inspire the Turkish startup ecosystem to be involved in EIT Urban Mobility’s activities.”

“Working with the biggest logistics firms in Turkiye, Optiyol will now be able to help carriers and retailers across Europe improve their fleet selection, order allocation, and visit scheduling to reach their customers on time and on budget.” said Omer Hantal, Fark Labs Funds and Strategy Manager. “Thanks to EIT Urban Mobility’s investment and extensive network, Optiyol will now be able to pursue important strategic partnerships and bring more innovation to the logistics space across Europe.”

The Innomotion Urban Mobility Scale-up programme is organized by EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Turkiye, a consortium led by Fark Labs – Farplas Automotive in partnership with Sabanci University and PwC Turkiye. The program aims to increase the awareness of urban mobility in Turkiye and connect local stakeholders with the international EIT Urban Mobility community. “In 2022, EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Turkiye will continue to grow the Innomotion program with more unique opportunities for Turkish startups within the EIT Urban Mobility ecosystem. We will continue to build a bridge between Europe and Turkiye, and assist Turkish startups in getting support and funding from EIT programmes.” said Emre Elmas, EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Turkiye Coordinator.
